What You Can Smash
A small sample of what comes through the door.
Glass & ceramics
The bread and butter of the rage room. Plates, mugs, drinking glasses, wine bottles, beer bottles, vases, ceramic figurines, decorative bowls, sake sets, picture-frame glass. Most rage-room sessions go through 10–25 of these. They make a very particular satisfying sound when they shatter.
Small electronics
This is where it gets fun. CRT TVs (when we can still find them), computer monitors, keyboards, printers, microwaves, alarm clocks, old desktop computers, landline phones, VHS players, CD players, boom boxes, blenders, coffee makers, toasters. The bigger items take a real swing — and a real bat or sledgehammer — to break.
Sentimental / custom items
You're allowed to bring in specific items you want to break, with some conditions:
- Must be inspected by us beforehand (some materials are unsafe)
- No items with lithium-ion batteries (fire hazard)
- No pressurized containers
- No anything with hazardous chemicals (printer toner, mercury thermometers, etc.)
- Photos and documents are welcome — we'll mount them for $5
What we CAN'T let you smash
- Anything containing lithium-ion batteries (laptops, phones, modern devices — these will catch fire)
- Pressurized containers (aerosols, propane, etc.)
- Florescent bulbs (mercury vapor)
- Anything with sharp pre-existing edges that aren't from breaking
- Anything that belongs to someone who hasn't consented to it being smashed
